The Cause UK team is back! This January, we are working with Grammy and Ivor Novello award winning songwriter, Eliot Kennedy.  Eliot has written hits for The Spice Girls, Take That, Bryan Adams, Celine Dione, and Aretha Franklin.  He has collaborated with Gary Barlow for years and has recently penned the Broadway hit ‘Finding Netherland’ with Gary, which is now touring the States.

Fresh from the success of the Hidden Wounds concert, which featured special guest Gary Barlow, Eliot has written and produced a ground-breaking charity album called ‘Hidden Wounds’ for Leeds-based singer/songwriter Joanne Heselden-Edwards.

The album will continue to raise money for Help for Heroes’ psychological well-being services.  Eliot said, “With this charity album launch we want to smash the stigma of mental health and get more and more people, focussing on those who have served in the armed forces, to talk about their well-being.  Suicide is the biggest killer of men between 20 and 49, eclipsing road accidents, cancer and heart disease.  We have to get on top of this.”

Mental Health is increasingly at the forefront of the Government agenda and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry are also working to eliminate stigma across the UK.

1 in 4 of us will experience mental ill health, with depression and anxiety on the increase.

We hope that you will support us by buying the charity album and help spread the word; 100% of net profits will go to Help for Heroes, Hidden Wounds services.
