Recent successes include supporting Destination Harrogate’s Health & Wellbeing campaign, pitching creative angles to secure press trips and arranging itineraries with the Sunday Times, Hello! Time Out magazine, the Guardian and Prima.
In Sheffield, Cause UK delivered a 3-month campaign to promote the Big Gig at the Invictus UK Trials. Using interviews with musicians and veteran case studies, meaningful coverage ran across local and regional titles, incl. Sheffield Star. Cause UK placed interviews and features on BBC The One Show, BBC Breakfast, as well as local BBC Look North, BBC Sheffield and ITV Calendar, with a Twitter campaign of 880,000 impressions.

Cause UK secured a celebrity patron, Joanna Lumley, who described the gardens as “a slice of heaven” to boost further coverage, which included prime time BBC Countryfile, pitching and co-ordinating filming for its autumn special, leading to its shortlisting for BBC Countryfile Magazine’s ‘Garden of the Year’ Award. The gardens also featured in the Sunday Express, the Sunday Telegraph, a four-page feature in Period Living, the Guardian included them in a travel feature; and multiple regional features included Yorkshire Living, and ITV Calendar/BBC Look North. The gardens reported a huge 75% increase in visitor numbers off the back of this activity.
Work includes launching a new glass floor overlooking the gorge at How Stean Gorge. Coverage included broadcast/video with BBC Look North, MSN, Yahoo, the Press Association, and BBC Radio York. Photography reached the pages of The Guardian, Telegraph, Sun, National Geographic, and regionals including the Yorkshire Post and BBC Online.

The FT picked it as one of the best book events, the Mail on Sunday chose it as one of the ‘Hottest Festivals of the summer’ and The Times picked it in its ‘summer’s hottest tickets.’

During Covid, Cause UK marked Landscapes for Life Week (Sept 2020) for Nidderdale with the National Association for Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a remarkable media stunt. They put a grand piano on Brimham Rocks. It took four men, a van, a ramp, a team of volunteers and a lot of permissions! The story highlighted the restorative powers of nature and the arts. It went viral – on the front page of the Yorkshire Post, in The Times, Telegraph, Independent, Guardian, BBC Look North, and broadcast to the world via MSN, Yahoo and the PA.
The agency also supports many arts organisations, recognised with an ACE Recovery #HereforCulture grant. It handled the relaunch of the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, creating a film showing off Harewood House and securing high profile patron, Alan Bennett. It achieved 138 pieces of press, plus interviews on BBC Radio 4. Highlights included a full-page in the Guardian, plus Times, Daily Mail, Telegraph, the Independent.
