A 12-year-old actor from Mirfield is set to appear in the highly anticipated Netflix animated film That Christmas, written and produced by celebrated British filmmaker, Richard Curtis. Jack Wisniewski, represented by Articulate Agency, plays the role of Danny Williams in the festive feature, set to debut on Netflix on December 4.
The film has already generated excitement for its all-star cast, including Brian Cox as Santa, and promises Curtis’s signature blend of wit and warmth, making it a must-watch animation film for families worldwide this holiday season.
The film also stars Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, and Bill Nighy as residents of the town.
Jack Wisniewski said: “The cast were amazing, kind, and supportive. I felt privileged to be in the presence of Richard Curtis. All the time spent in the sound booth is now relatable, matching it to the animation. I can’t wait for it to be on Netflix.”
The talented young voice actor is represented by the leading acting agency, Articulate Agency, which is based in Baildon in West Yorkshire and has a reputation in supporting children and young acting talent.
Based on Curtis’s series of children’s books, That Christmas brings audiences a heartwarming holiday story filled with humour, charm, and joy.
Stacey Burrows, founder of Articulate Agency, said: “We’re incredibly proud to see Jack feature in this film. the Netflix team loved Jack’s authentic northern accent which made him a perfect fit to play Jodie Whittaker’s son Danny. It’s such an amazing opportunity for him to show off his voicework, especially alongside such well-known, regarded actors. He’s already making waves, with his part playing Nathan in The Full Monty UK tour, where he received great feedback from audiences.”
Founded in 2013 by former lawyer, Stacey Burrows, the agency prides itself on its ethical and nurturing approach to supporting its younger actors and their parents.
It works with the top UK and US casting directors, producers and show runners to secure high-profile, career-making roles, including major Hollywood opportunities.
Stacey founded the agency initially to help youngsters improve their speaking skills after overcoming her own fear of public speaking and going on to qualify as a barrister. It has grown into one of the UK’s leading acting agencies.
That Christmas on Netflix, available to stream starting December 4, 2023.
